When it comes time for the actual day/night of the after prom party, you will need/want volunteers to help run games, refill food/drinks, greet students, etc. More often than not, there are not enough people on the committee to handle all of the “day of” tasks. Recruit as many volunteers as you can to help out. Depending on the games and activities available, you can even save on staff fees by having a volunteer making cotton candy or helping with a game. A great idea is to recruit students who have graduated and are in college near enough to the school that they could bring friends and be involved in the prom weekend. Look to civic organizations in your community that may need service hours or part of their mission is to help youth in the community. Think outside the box of parents who are often over asked to volunteer.
