At Fun Productions, we take fun seriously (after all, it’s in our name!). But every so often, we get the chance to combine our love for fun with something even bigger: making a difference. That’s why this month, as we kick off a season of joy, generosity, and gratitude, we’re thrilled to celebrate one of our longest-standing partners, The Gabby Krause Foundation.
For 20 years, this inspiring organization has been delivering Bags of Fun to children who need it most. Supporting their events year after year has been a privilege, knowing each one helps bring a dream to life. Together, we’ve worked to make their events not just fun, but truly impactful, all in support of the foundation’s vision to bring joy, laughter, and relief to every child whose health and happiness are threatened and/or compromised.
In 2004, a little girl named Gabby, bravely fighting brain cancer, had a simple wish: for every child in the hospital to receive their very own “Bag of Fun.” These backpacks, filled with toys, games, electronics, and even an Amazon gift card, aren’t just gifts—they’re a chance for kids to escape the pain and anxiety of their illnesses, even if just for a few minutes, and simply be kids.
What started as Gabby’s simple wish has now grown into a movement that brings joy to children and their families across Colorado, Missouri, and Nebraska. Each Bag of Fun is purposefully packed with toys and games to encourage socialization, motor skills, creativity, and most importantly, moments of fun and laughter! At the heart of every bag is the belief that play can help bring comfort, healing, and hope even during life’s toughest battles.
In addition to the bags, the foundation stays connected with their local communities through events like golf tournaments, auto shows, March Madness bracket challenges, and their annual “Bring out the Bags” fundraiser. These events not only raise funds to fill more Bags of Fun but also spread awareness about their mission and bring people together to support an incredible cause.
This year, the foundation reached a celebration-worthy milestone—20 years of delivering Bags of Fun to children facing life-threatening illnesses. Even while celebrating the incredible impact made in the last two decades, they’re already setting their sights on the future with the launch of their Beyond 20 initiative.
With a goal of funding 200 new Bags of Fun over the next 20 years, Beyond 20 will continue Gabby’s legacy of “playing through the fight,” making a powerful difference in the lives of children who need it most. Help them reach that goal!
For the past 20 years, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with The Gabby Krause Foundation to support their mission through their annual “Bring Out the Bags” fundraiser. This signature event brings together local Bags of Fun recipients and their families for a night filled with both fun and purpose.
With activities like carnival games, inflatables, and so much more, the event is about giving every guest a reason to smile all while supporting an incredible cause. This year, we were thrilled to add one of our photo booths to the mix, giving guests a chance to capture memories from a night filled with celebration.
The Gabby Krause Foundation is a powerful example of just how far one child’s wish can go. Through events like “Bring Out the Bags” and initiatives like Beyond 20, their work continues to honor Gabby’s legacy by spreading joy and hope to children and their families during life’s toughest moments.
Partnering with such an inspiring organization has been an honor, and we’re excited to continue supporting their mission as they reach more kids in need across the country.
